About these tariffs...

I wanted to take a moment to share how the upcoming tariffs may impact our small business and what that means for you.

As you may know, we manufacture every silicone product to your specifications right here in Massachusetts. Our specialty is transforming raw silicone into the ice trays, bar mats, dog treat molds, and other personalized products you love. Tariffs intended to bolster American manufacturing should only help us, right?

The reality is more complex. It might surprise you to learn that the global silicone supply chain is inextricably linked to China. You'd think that a material derived from something as abundant as sand could be produced anywhere in the world, but for whatever reason, even domestic silicone suppliers are reliant on Chinese materials. At the end of the day, Siligrams is not a refinery capable of producing the raw silicone we work with.

We are exploring every option to keep our prices steady. Fortunately, since raw silicone is just one component in our total cost of goods, we do not anticipate the same impact on prices as companies that import fully finished goods. 

Many of our customers are feeling the effects of economic uncertainty, and if you're focused on saving as much money as you can right now, we completely understand. But if you have the ability to support a small, independent American manufacturer that will struggle in the face of these tariffs, we'd truly appreciate your business right now.
