| | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | | πΊπ¦ Zelensky apologized to Trump over the Oval Office clash. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reportedly sent a letter apologizing for the February 28 Oval Office incident, according to US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The move comes as both sides prepare for peace talks in Saudi Arabia, with intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine potentially resuming. This diplomatic reset suggests Ukraine's growing recognition of its weakening negotiating position and that Zelesnky acknowledges US support is of absolute necessity. | ποΈ Supreme Court to hear "conversion therapy" ban case. The Supreme Court agreed to review Colorado's ban on "conversion therapy" for minors, with Christian therapist Kaley Chiles arguing it violates First Amendment rights. The case challenges similar bans in 26 other states, with Chiles contending that private conversations between counselors and clients constitute protected speech rather than medical treatment. While many on the left and in the media use the term "conversion therapy" to imply something akin to electroshock therapy, this really just means conversations between a patient and a therapist on correcting the patient's disordered behavior. | β Court blocked the deportation of Columbia's protest leader. A federal judge in New York blocked the Trump administration's attempt to deport Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian activist and Columbia University graduate, until a hearing Wednesday. The ruling temporarily halts what Trump called "the first arrest of many to come," targeting pro-Palestinian campus activists. Many critics of the move, including some conservatives, believe Trump is unconstitutionally punishing free speech, while supporters claim Khalil engaged in illegal activity by inciting violence and blocking students from entering campus buildings. | π DNI Gabbard revoked the security clearances of Biden officials. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the revocation of security clearances for over 50 Trump opponents, including former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and New York AG Letitia James. The move blocks access to classified information for those deemed untrustworthy by the Trump administration. This action represents a shift in how security clearances are now seemingly wielded as political tools. |

| | AD | | Trump's repurposing of the CBP Home App may be tied to the GOP's inability to get a border bill through Congress. On Kalshi, the chances of this happening have plummeted during the course of Trump's presidency. | Do you think the Republicans can pass a border bill this year? | | THE MAIN STORY | Biden's pro-immigration app is now used to boot illegals | | WHAT'S HAPPENING_ | The Trump administration is reportedly repurposing the Biden-era CBP One app, which was originally used to fly illegal migrants to cities throughout the US. The new version of the app, called "CBP Home," allows migrants to register their intent to leave the United States and voluntarily remove themselves. | | _THE FACTS_ | The CBP One app, under the Biden administration, was initially created to streamline the asylum application process, allowing migrants to make appointments at the US border to claim asylum. These appointments often resulted in entry into the US with an immigration court date, sometimes years later. Approximately 320,000 migrants used the app to quietly fly into 43 American airports between January 2023 and December 2023. By the end of Biden's term, around one million had entered the country using CBP One. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that starting now, the CBP One app will be updated to a new version, CBP Home. Illegal migrants who have automatic updates on their phones β or who update the app β will be allowing DHS to use data from previous registrations to track them for removal. The new app allows and encourages migrants to submit their intent to self-deport from the US. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem explained that doing so would give them the opportunity to reapply for legal migration. "If they don't" report themselves for deportation, said Noem, "we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return."
