Everyone loves a good margarita - but what's your favorite variation?

Add spice? Blend it up into a frozen slushy? Adorn the rim with salt or
Tajín? My dad has a particularly potent recipe that's basically a tequila and triple sec martini.

The potential to riff on the classic recipe is limitless!

As you might expect, the official Siligrams margarita leverages giant ice cubes and smoke for a sophisticated speakeasy touch.

Today's the perfect opportunity to try it out!

Smoky Margarita on the Rocks

Ingredients:

2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
1 oz fresh lime juice
¾ oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, Triple Sec, or Grand Marnier)
¼–½ oz agave syrup (optional, to taste)
Large rock ice cube (made with your Siligrams tray!)
Salt for rimming (optional)
Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions:

Rim a rocks glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it in salt.
In a shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into the rocks glass.
Optional, but recommended: Use a cocktail smoker to infuse the drink with a subtle smokiness.
Use ice tongs to carefully add a giant ice cube or sphere for a slow-melting, sophisticated finish.
Garnish and enjoy!
