10 Oldest Airlines Still Flying Today

For nearly a century, Grand Canyon Airlines has been offering aerial tours over one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

According to the carrier, it is the world's oldest aerial tour company and has flown more than 100 million passengers over the Grand Canyon and surrounding landmarks since its first flight in 1927. Back then, the airline was called Scenic Airways, before changing its name to Grand Canyon Airlines in 1930. The company introduced commercial flights to Boulder City Airport in Nevada in 1936. Today, the airline is still based near the Grand Canyon. It operates a fleet of more than 20 de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter and Cessna 208B Caravan aircraft on tours of the canyon and nearby natural wonders like Monument Valley, Rainbow Bridge, and Antelope Canyon.
