I chose to write today, because I believe the day after that horrific event signaled a profound change — not just for Israel or the Middle East, but for the entire West. | The day after the brutal slaughter of Israelis — broadcasted on social media for all to witness — major cities across the West erupted with pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinian protests and marches. From London to Paris, Berlin to NYC, the very forces responsible for 9/11 and the war on terror were celebrated in the streets. | These anti-Israel movements were not just anti-Zionist but openly anti-Western and anti-American. They thrived in elite universities, with students and professors alike joining the outcry. Now, X's algorithm notices that pro-Palestine users are interested in such content and sends it to their personal feeds, Upward News learned by creating test accounts. | Antisemitism on social media has skyrocketed in the year since the Israel-Hamas war began.
