We're still celebrating happiness at work week and today we're coming at you with some more tips to maintain a positive outlook and foster joy in whatever environment you work in.
One of the most important tips at work is to RECOGNIZE each other. We all can get caught up in the day to day chaos, but it's important to take some time out to celebrate your co-workers and yourself for a job well done.
1) Give Shoutouts to Your Co-Workers: Whether it's family meal or your daily standup, don't be afraid to recognize a co-worker for doing something extraordinary. Things like work anniversaries are a great place to start! Anytime you see a co-worker going above and beyond what is required, don't let that go unnoticed. Even if you aren't "in charge", giving shoutouts can have a great impact on someone's day.
2) Make Your Clients Feel Seen: Chances are, you interact with people at some point during your day. And whether you work in hospitality or not, keeping high customer service can make your customers (and you!) feel amazing! Take the time to get to know a customer or two today, and you might just make a customer for life. Remember everyone is going through something, so taking the time to let a client speak can make a massive difference.
3) Clap For Your Damn Self: Work. Is. Hectic. You might find yourself so preoccupied from the start to the end of your shift that it feels like you have no time to really interact with others. If that's the case, make sure you take the time to appreciate yourself for all the hard work you do. Whether that's an internal shoutout or buying yourself flowers at the end of a crazy week - do it. Your biggest cheerleader should always be yourself!
