"The heart of a father is the masterpiece of nature." -Antoine François Prévost Dear Tea Circle, Today we observe Father's Day & I invite you to celebrate any father figure you've known that embodies the father archetype in your life. I wanted to send a note of gratitude for every father figure out there who has helped a child, younger person or even a colleague in a fathering way. Watching my little brothers become amazing fathers has been a wonder for me. Their hearts have grown so big you can see their hearts on their sleeves, and in their eyes as their children have come into the world and grown. Same with my dad- Victor- you have only softened over time and thank-you for teaching me how to fish, how to be honest, and how to contribute something meaningful to our world. My husband met Sage & I when Sage was 3, he made him a part of his love for me as soon as they met on our second date. His acceptance of my child bound us forever and has bound them with love and understanding in a heart-expanding way. Gerard has only expanded in love and patience, kindness and strength as our daughter has grown into a teen. Gerard, thank-you. Today I invite you to take a moment to give thanks in detail, call up your dad, a friend or another father figure in your life and share with them how much they mean to you. Call any friend you've seen grow as a father or tell them in person about how their example has moved you. Make today a ceremony of connection and use your kindness and eloquence to speak words of praise for those who have been a guiding light for you or others. These holidays are simply pauses in time to give us a reminder to speak our hearts into words, to share what we love and appreciate about others, to remind ourselves and all those we know how to celebrate those in our lives who embody what matters most: LOVE. If you've lost your father, I am so sorry, I send you my love. You can create a small prayer and offering to them still today as love is infinite and connects us through time and space. With Love, Zhena |
