EVERY EVENT: WE DISCUSS A TRENDING TOPIC IN HEALTH & WELLNESS Last time it was the World Health Organization, and its decision regarding non-sugar sweeteners. This time we're going to talk about a very controversial subject, which is the frequent use of Ozempic and Wegovy for weight loss, the last few years they have been used widely and exponentially, but that is not an issue within itself, as these two drugs are both FDA approved, however, one is approved for curing type 2 diabetes (Ozempic), and the other is an approved medicine for weight loss. "I don't see a problem!" you might say, so let me clarify, you see due to high demand, supply chain strains, and current distribution systems that the company producing Wegovy has, the drug is often unavailable, pushing a lot of its consumers to the corner. "what do they do?" you might ask, they turn to off-label use of Ozempic, as the two have the same component responsible for weight loss (Although Ozempic has a lower dosage), this causes the drug to become less and less available for people with diabetes, but putting that aside, a question emerges. |
